Derwent Campbell’s 12-year tenure at Mogers’ helm is followed by Steven Treharne who takes the wheel as managing partner this month.
Mogers has been awarded more accolades this year for its contemporary client services approach and Steven is determined to continue this success.

"We have a great reputation for not living up to the stuffy law firm stereotype; for listening carefully and being easy to work with. This keen listening has meant the development of new ways of providing legal services which give us that real edge."
Earlier this year Mogers launched an iPhone App for employment law updates. It has also created allHR, a complementary and award-winning company, comprised of HR experts both from and beyond the legal field.
Mogers has replicated this on the construction side, providing a team of specialists who can advise across the board. In March, Mogers became the first legal practice in the South West to secure the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme accreditation – the mark of excellence for the home buying process.
Last year the firm expanded its private client services to Hong Kong, providing expat services pertaining to personal relationship breakdowns, as well as acting for elderly and vulnerable clients.
"Our focus has always been on providing a high level of client service” Steven added.
“We're not in competition with those offering an off-the-shelf option, our market is much more sophisticated and therefore in need of a wider range of experience. My role is to use our trusted heritage to keep pushing us to the next level - something we know our clients really value."
Steven’s role as managing partner follows an 18-year career progression with Mogers. He joined us in 1993, then later became a partner in 2000 and head of our commercial team.
Derwent will continue to head up the private client side of Mogers. Commenting on Steven's appointment, he added:
“Steven now carries responsibility for the firm and its people; he has a raft of new ideas and enthusiasm which will carry us forward into a new era.
"When we all pull together we can and do succeed. I expect that the firm will be as different in 10 years time, as it was 10 years ago and I think this is healthy.”
